Get Shifty with Whip Hand Cosmetics Pigment in Rocket

I am kicking myself for not giving you all the review of Whip Hand Cosmetics Rocket Pigment earlier.  I've made several blogger faux paux lately.  I've double reviewed quite a few shadows and in this case, I swear I posted this review months ago....nope.  Grrr.

I gotta tell you, I adore Whip Hand Cosmetics pigments.  They are a breeze to use and richly pigmented.  They cry out to be loved!  A while back I reviewed Whip Hand Cosmetics Creme Shadow in Corset.  Love, love, love this product!  You can see my review here.  I immediately sought out Riese at Whip Hand and asked her which pigment she thought would compliment the Corset Creme Shadow.  She was kind enough to send me a vial of Rocket.  Riese knows her stuff!

Rocket

Rocket swatched over Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Rocket is a sumptuous red toned brown with a strong green shift. This is the most luxurious brown shadow I own.  The intensity of the color is spectacular.

This is Rocket swatched over Whip Hand Creme Shadow in Corset . Rocket and Corset were meant to be together.  Corset has a nearly identical brown/green shift which only amplifies this effect in Rocket.

Here is an angled shot of Corset + Rocket.  You can see how intense the green shift is.    On their own, Whip Hand pigments are gorgeous and fun to use.  They are vibrant and blend like a dream.  When paired with Whip Hand Creme shadows, they are taken to a whole new level.

Final Thoughts

Whip Hand is a brand to watch!  It's hard to be unique in today's beauty market, but they are doing it.  They have a great mix of high quality, high performance cosmetics that are reasonably priced and support American businesses.  They currently offer close to 40 shades of pigments ranging from electric brights, subtle nudes and sultry darks.  Pair these with over 20 creme shadows and you have hundreds of unique looks at your fingertips.  I am not a huge fan of the vial design, which was made with the make up artist in mind.  However, I went to my local Michaels and bought a 30 pack of small bead jars for about $5 and I just decant them into that...problem solved.

Where to buy: Whip Hand Cosmetics
Price: $14.00 for 3grams

  2. Sarah you would love them..I think you would really enjoy their lip colors. I think you mentioned loving the pan idea. They have a retro "pulp" vibe, very exciting company.
